Sound general alarm
Stop any cargo operations – and shut all cargo valves / Activate ESD
Confirm cargo leakage is not from own vessel
Initiate medical assistance as required (Refer MSDS prior)
If in port – inform terminal and notify local and national authorities
Muster crew - Take headcount of all crew and visitors (Ensure that all staff carries the emergency escape sets)
Stop air conditioning / ventilation
At night – switch on all deck lighting
Prohibit all smoking
Keep record of events
Notifications as required for cargo spill
Save VDR data on completion of emergency or 4 hours after the incident
Explore possibility to move away from danger in the vicinity (terminal / other vessel or installations)
Actions necessary for cargo spill containment (Refer MSDS)
Preserve VDR / SVDR records if not automatically protected
