Note:

  1. The Master shall ensure that the listed logs and records are maintained as minimum mandatory.
  2. The Master shall prepare a vessel specific list of all the Logs / Record Books in use, their location on board, and who is responsible for their up-keeping.
  3. Senior officers shall exercise supervision to ensure that they are being correctly maintained as applicable to the vessel type.
  4. All Logs/records shall be examined and signed by the Head(s) of Department, as appropriate.
  5. The Master should check, initial, and date all logs on a monthly basis.
  6. The Master shall raise requisition to the purchasing department in a timely manner well in advance so that new/replenishment items can be supplied to the vessel.
